Expatriates' wednesdays; little phrases gathered, here and there

While reading a book, ( I am trying to retrieve the references, that I will give to you as soon as I have them!) I have writen down some phrases that I feel, contain an interesting thought, a truth.

I prefer not commenting this time.

But rather offering them to you as they are, for you to give them the importance you decide.

Do they evoke in you something that might be like

 Yes,  this ecchoes something in me

 So I'm curious! ! As always! ! and I ask you:


 Where, how, why?
