It contains the findings of a series of experiments conducted by Professor Ethan F.
Kross, assistant in psychology at the University of Michigan.Kross and his colleagues showed that a strong emotional pain stimulates the same brain areas than a physical pain
What do we really learn from the results of this research?
At least the recognition of the somatic consequences of emotional pain (for those who doubted)
It is usual to consider the emotional pain as more lengthy and difficult to heal than physical pain, although its traces are not seen with our eyes, unlike a bruise or a broken limb (I am thinking of the children with whom I worked as a social worker for the protection of children at risk)
Every emotion that we live, positively or negatively, affects our mind and affects our body
So let's be very careful to choose, as far as we can, exposing us to events, contacts which can draw a smile on our lipsThere are many things we can say no to !
