Expatriates' Wednesdays; Holiday's/vacation social hyper activity

Discussion with an expat friend the other day about the approaching holiday/vacation
Vacation/holiday is the time when one runs in all directions to see everybodyTime is short;The list is long for those relatives and friends we will meat againFriends for the adults and friends for the kids

Some of us feel a little apprehensivethinking of family dinners, social and family conventions that one will have to assume againOthers fear the mandatory and uneasy at time cohabitation that leads to tensions, lack of freedom, especially in the daily organization
Sometimes the expatriate family chooses, after several years away, to buy a house and finally have a "home" when it returns to her home country;And there, however, hyper social activity still seems to be a reality

One person mentions person in her answers: "You spend your days doing the cooking!"

All this is to be balances with the pleasure there is in a great majority of situations, to meet again with family and friends

Isn't the question, finally, around setting clear limits to the reunion when we find it is too much ?

Or, get out of all that exhausted but happy !

The choice is ours!As always!;O)
