Being a citizen of the world ?

I wrote my article in French for French nationals who have a child setting an International Baccalaureate. 

This exam is officially recognised in France, though the reality when it comes to register your child in universities is quite different. 

I am not talking about cultural differences but really administrative difficulties.

Moving around the globe sometimes means your child is setting an exam which is not from the country where he wants to study.

 It doesn’t seem to be a problem in countries like America or the United Kingdom, either with national exam or the International Baccalaureate.

Do you have any experience there ? It may help others !

Whether it is for this type of issue of any other complication; here are a few tips which are helpful to follow to avoid being trapped in a ‘cul de sac’ situation;

I suggest you

-  Know exactly what it is you want to get. You could write it down very clearly only using a few words

-  Do not doubt about the positive outcome of your request. It may not be a straight path and you can always work on your motivation

-  Do accept that the refusals, the possible errors of the person you are talking to may well be because they do not know the answer and not refusing your request

-  Choose to move on with your interlocutor and find a solution which is acceptable for both parties

-  Are conscious that refusing to take into account what the other is saying will only lead you to no result

And, never forget, this can be a game !
