I do believe that it is major to recognise the feelings we hold.
It is the first step toward a better-being.
Recognising our feelings and the difficulty we may have sometimes to do so.
Though I do not think it should be done at any price nor in any environment.
If, for any reason, you can not / do not want to express your feelings, then don't and simply recognize that reality.
“The feelings that I have in me have their reason to be; even though I cannot or do not want to express them for now”
That’s it. And it is big.
No justification, no judgment.
There is no obligation to express yourself and the only person who needs to be ready for it is you. The entire you. Nobody else.
So, here is what I suggest, if you feel like it;
Get comfy in a place where you will be quiet with no need to be isolated.
Now,
Write, paint, power point, make a collage, say, sing, think … the words
¤ ¤ ¤ EXPATRIATION – followed by the name of the country you live in ¤ ¤ ¤
Look at them
Integrate them
Let out all what comes. Everything.
Take all what is appearing with no judgment and no justification.
Recognise all what is there.
You can write it down, paint it, say it, sing it, power point it ….
Everything is between you and you
Like I often repeat it, we shouldn’t be politically correct with ourselves
You may not like what comes out
You may feel relieved by what comes out
What comes out may feel gentle
What comes out may be incomprehensible
...
...
What comes out is a part of you and a part of what you need at that moment of your life.
So it is fine.
So it is fine.
It is not you in your integrality, simply a part of you.
What might come out are feelings, words, images, physical sensations as well.
Your body may express something as much as your brain
Your body may express something as much as your brain
With this harvest of feelings and sensations, ask yourself if that is what you wish to have in your life on a regular basis.
If the answer is yes because it brings you happiness, serenity, joy … then all is fine !
If the answer is no because it brings you discomfort, fear … then, what could you modify to make it go at a point ?
