Choosing by begining filling up with yourself



Choosing

It seems to me that the problem of the difficulty of choosing is recurrent in our lives

How to choose?

First, shall we remember that if we have difficulty choosing, it is because we are fortunate enough to have the choice!   ;o)

The difficulty of choosing is linked to the necessity of abandonment;

If I choose option A I have to accept giving up on options B or C or. . .

There are multiple approaches to making a choice and whichever one chooses, it is useful to begin by letting go for a moment all the external forces and internal conflicts

Filling up with . . . oneself

Here's one way to do so;
You sit down, back straight, eyes open or half closed
Remove your shoes, socks. . . and put your feet flat on the floor, even trying, at least a few seconds, to "crush" your toes on the ground, each of them having a maximum surface contact with the ground
Anchor yourself
Chin slightly raised, your hands where it will seem natural to have them

Take the minutes needed to be aware of every part of your body, especially where you feel tension, perhaps pain
Have a slow nose breathing

Once a thought comes, reject it. To give you an example, my way of saying no, in this kind of exercise, is to see my right hand in front of my eyes . . . you have to determine your most effective way

When you feel receptive, define your dominant feeling when thinking about one choice you need to make: fear, tension, panic, lock . . .
Identify where in your body is the sensation: throat, chest, heart, belly, head, it can be where you had a pain just now. . .

Concentrate on this area and at every slow breath, associate, say  or visualise the negative feeling that is dominating you: fear, tension. . . and anything that is associated to it in words, images or sounds.
Repeat these expirations until you have expulsed everything that comes to your mind

Then inhale, thinking of nice words, visualisations concentrating on the same part of your body
You stop when you feel calm and relaxed

So you are full of yourself and freed of external parasites,

Begin straight to write down some ideas about one choice you have to make
