Today, I have the pleasure to offer you a picture of these mountains in Béarn, on the Spanish French border; I took this picture during a very nice walk !
Giving and Receiving
What is the easiest for you?
When was the last time you gave something ?
When was the last time you received something ?
And, how was it ? !
Some cultures, some societies, influenced by religion, amongs other factors, lead us to experience the pleasure of giving, more easily than the beauty of receiving. And are we not equally dependent on our social status? Our gender, professional occupation . . . ?
It is part of human nature to become richer by turning to the others, creating, increasing our relations with others. We are social animals!
Giving amplifies and strengthens what does already exist
The gift to the other reflects a recognition, a love
Receiving allows the other to give, to express their love, their friendship, their respect . . .
Why is it sometimes so difficult or embarrassing to receive?
What is happening when it suddenly feels sometimes so painful to face a center of interest, being in the position of being loved, worthy of recognition?
Personally, I have long been terribly embarrassed when receiving gifts. I quickly opened them, hoping that nobody will look at me nor make any comments !
For some years now I have a real pleasure to open my gifts ! With or without comments !
I suggest you simply say "thank you" with a smile, that's all it takes !
If you are a person who gives more, expand your ability to receive, accept with simplicity what someone is ready to offer you
And if you receive more easily, open yourself to the pleasure of giving
These two aspects of human relationships are complementary
Do not amputate yourself of one half!
What do you choose for today! ?
What will you accept?
Or will you decide to give?
I wish you many many moments during which you will increase your pleasure in your relationship to the others
Give and receive! Go ahead !
Pleasure is certainly not related to the figures on the bill !
try with just a smile !
try with just a smile !
