let's give us enough time to to move on our journey

The other day, that was a few days after we had arrived in Brazil from France, one of my children felt depressed
Expatriation can be a big deal for every individual; adults and children, whatever the age

So many changes that all of us had to face. This particular day, something happened, I don't know what and maybe my child doesn't know exactly either.
He couldn't face his day anymore.
He shut down.
He found refuge in his bed, refusing to eat, refusing to talk with silent tears rolling down his cheeks;
Pain and distress both for him and for me as a loving mother

The temptation is always there in these moments of wanting to carry the pain for the loved one
"Do not worry, it's gonna be fine".... Parents know these temptations, don't you think ?

But how can we know how bad it is for them ?
How can we tell if it will pass or not ?
Is this the best help that we can bring to someone who is suffering ?

One thing is sure, we love.
Even if sometimes we can be lost in knowing what to do.
Uncontional love
Love with no condition
Our role is to BE there

Let's give emotions time to be and pass.
So I listened, reassured, hardly spoke, recognized his pain; accompanying the questions, proposing options  and most importantly giving my unconditional love
After the first violence of the pain; there were my child with a different attitude as if his thoughts had taken another place, as if his body, his soul had recovered a bit of energy after the suffer.
 Then I had my son with his 'normal' behavior.
The whole thing lasted around three hours.
Exhausting, experience for us both. That's how long it took him to live and survive the emotional storm;
I believe it is essential to recognise and go through one's emotions,

Being helped in those moments may be necessary and take some time.
Emotions, feelings, do not count the minutes as we do constantly!
How about taking some time to recognise your emotions, difficult ones and happy ones;
They are all parts of you; they have to be received with love
